I checked ytconfig and didn't see ANY paths.
There *may* not be any unless you have YTMAINT generating a high scores bulletin.
Also, make sure that the BAT file that is running YTMAINT is switching to
the directory that the game resides in before it runs. Mine looks like this:
E:
cd \DOORS\YT
YTMAINT
Mine is similar
cd \ele\doors\dosdoors
ytmaint
Are all of your dos doors in the \ele\doors\dosdoors directory?
Do you have only one YT game running?
I used to keep all my doors in one directory but eventually ran into issues after I added a few doors. Now they are all kept in separate directories
just in case two games happen to use the same file name.
I saw in a follow-up message that you tried running YTMAINT manually and it still gave you the error. With YT, I do know that there are instances
where a value (like a user's score or the Xanor's score) will grow too
large and YTMAINT will stop working. That *does* require a game reset to
fix it. I do not remember the error message it gives, though, but I don't think it is an error regarding path or file violation errors.
If you have run out of options to fix it, a reset or reinstall might be the only options left unfortunately.
